Amanda Caporicci, classical guitarist, is a native of Las Vegas, Nevada. Amanda received her Bachelors of Music at Loyola Marymount University under direction of Martha Masters, where she developed as a soloist and chamber musician. At Loyola, she received the “Trame Award,” which was awarded to one graduating music student who has shown outstanding comprehensive involvement in activities, curriculum, and performance. She continued her studies and received a M.M. at the Schwob School of Music in Columbus, Georgia, studying with Dr. Andrew Zohn, where she coached undergraduate ensembles as a graduate assistant and performed as a soloist and chamber music collaborator. As a young guitarist, Amanda was awarded “Command Performance” as a soloist in 2007, when she performed for over two thousand people at Hamm Hall at the University of Las Vegas. Other performances include National Association for Music Education (Salt Lake City, UT), Southern Exposure’s New Music Series (Columbia, SC), LMU showcase (Los Angeles, CA), and in masterclasses for artists such as David Russell, Jason Vieaux, Lorenzo Micheli, Matteo Mela, Denis Azabagic, Adam Holzman, and Julian Gray among others.

Amanda is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Musical Arts at the University of South Carolina under the direction of Christopher Berg. She was awarded an exclusive assistantship and teaches undergraduates, coaches ensembles, and gives lectures as well as varied performances as a recitalist. As a performer and teacher, Amanda has also served as a juror member for the Las Vegas Academy of Performing Arts, taught undergraduate guitar courses, holds a private studio, and has enjoyed varied outreach concerts, such as volunteering for retirement homes.
